Fennel has a licorice flavor and is similar to star anise only a little sweeter. It can be at home in Italian cooking such as marinara sauces or sausages, and also in English and Indian dishes.
Fennel seed is good with pot roast, pizza, marinara sauce, seafood, pork, flavored butter and salad dressing.
