So valuable that according to Jewish history, it was once used as a tithe. Dill seed comes from a plant native to the Mediterranean basin. Dill is the predominant flavor in pickles. It is popular with seafood, bratwurst and stews. Because it has a similar flavor to pickles, it is a great addition to hamburgers.
Dill in the seed form is used as a spice. Dill weed is used as an herb.

Common Uses: Soup, stew, pot roast, seafood, sausage, bratwurst and any grilled meat.
