Widely used in France but not so much here in America, lavender is an interesting addition to many dishes.

Try rubbing lavender salt on chicken before roasting. Of course it is what we recommend for lamb. Suprise your guests by using it in lemonade. The flowers are lovely on cakes and fun to use in shortbread.
